How do I find and register for an e-Course?
To browse our e-Courses or to register for an e-Course, click on 'e-Courses' found along the menu bar near the top of the screen. Moving your mouse onto the 'e-Courses' button will cause a window to drop down. Inside that window, you can 'Find an e-Course' or print a 'Help' page that lists instructions for registering for an e-Couse.
Will my state licensing
board accept CEUs earned online from e-Courses?
Most state licensing boards DO accept CEUs earned online (usually classified as home-study credits). Some state boards do, however, place a limit to the number of credits that can be earned via home study/online workshops. If you are taking an e-Course for credit, we suggest that you call your licensing board to verify acceptance policies and home-study credit limits before registering.
Do I have to complete the
entire course in one sitting? Or can I complete the course over a period of
days?
Our e-Courses allow you to work at
your own pace. You can spend as much or as little time as you desire on each section.
You're free to choose to complete your course all at once, or you can complete the course
over a period of days.
Will I receive credit for
taking an e-Course?
NSS-NRS is an approved provider of CE by ASHA, AOTA, and numerous state and national boards and associations. Most state licensing boards do accept credits earned online. They are usually classified under home-study. Some state boards do, however, place a limit to the number of credits that can be earned via home study/online workshops. It is always a good idea to check in advance with your licensing board and/or association to verify acceptance policies and credit limits.
How many credits or
contact hours are e-Courses worth?
We offer courses for 1 contact hour as well as multiple contact hours. Click on 'e-Courses' and then 'Find an e-Course' to view topics and contact hour (CEU) information.
Is there a test at the end
of the e-Course?
Yes. You will need to complete
a 10-question test at the end of the course. A score of 80% is needed to pass and earn
credit. However, if you score lower than 80% on your first attempt you are allowed to
return to the course, review the material and modify your answers until a score of 80% is
obtained.
How will I document that I
completed an e-Course?
Upon successful completion of the e-Course you will be able to print a certificate of completion (just like the one you'd receive at our seminars) showing the course title, sponsor, date, number of contact hours, and ASHA and AOTA approved provider statements.
What about ASHA
credit?
To receive ASHA credit, you will
also need to complete an online version of the ASHA CE Registry Form. We transfer these
forms to ASHA on a quarterly basis. Therefore, if you register for an e-Course on February
2nd but do not complete it until April 15th, it will be sent in to ASHA with the second quarter
filing.
How long will I have access
to an e-Course?
You can access an e-Course
unlimited times up until you print your certificate of completion. After your certificate
is printed you will no longer have access to the e-Course. |
